Dems finding candidates and a platform...they've already shown they know the way forward and the next 1-1/2 yrs will enable several contenders to show their bona fides for the 2028 election.

For the GOP, you've got candidates who were way too close to Trump (JDV), and others who have been stained by him (Rubio and DeSantis)...plus the Moderates who were cast aside by the MAGA cult and would have a hard time gaining a consensus. I'm no political scientist, but the future of the GOP is very much up in the air...could take some time for them to get their ducks in a row...if they're lucky. The smell of Trump will take a long time to dissipate.
