...they absolutely want the govt shutdown to hurt Trump, and this is what is driving the MSM narrative which counters every piece of good news with a counter bad news COVID story. And few would things drive the economy down more than families without the child coverage for school.

But parents are getting really pissed off about it, and will moreso as the election approaches.

Trump and the GOP has very clearly come down in favor of opening the schools.

The Dems will have a hard time reconciling this with their heath fear narrative.

The reality of their situation is just starting to sink in. They are the Party of Shutdown. They have set in motion a narrative such that the inevitable broad increases in + test results is a scary thing when in fact, it was fully expected. But people are also noticing that people are rarely dying - even with risk factors, and extremely rarely without them. These numbers are starting to align with other bad flu years when nothing was done.
If the Dems allow schools to reopen, they are not only allowing the economy to recover in close proximity to the election, but they are conceding that their cure was worse than the COVID.
If they don't allow schools to repon, they will be killed at the ballot box, and no propaganda poll will save them.
