The thing re reparations: If enacted, it means children can be held responsible for acts of parents

Next question: Does this mean we can hold the children of illegal immigrants responsible for the illegal acts of their parents or grandparents?

If the answer is "no" in one case, and "yes" in the other case...and the only reason for the difference of answer is who happens to be in power at the time the question is asked, do we really have a Republic based on the rule of law?
