No way should we eliminate the EC. Imagine if the messes known as California and New York got to force their wisdom on us all!
Also, your claim that Texas turns blue assumes a stagnant field.
Have you read about the trends in Hispanic voting? I expect this with AA voting to a lesser extent as well.
