No. It's been happening for a few billion years. Long before man came along, that is for sure.

The only constant on earth, since the earth formed, is climate change. The challenge is not how to stop it (at least until we can terraform). The challenge is to live with it. Since the last ice age, the earth has been warming for over 10,000 years...a warming period that melted the glaciers and allowed civilization to develop. Warming is the single best thing that happened to humans. Before industry even started, the oceans have risen 420 feet since the glacers receded from Indiana, uncovering the current northern US and all of Canada and Europe. The 1000 mile wide "land bridge from Siberia to Alaska has been covered in water. All of this before man started building campfires in any serious numbers, much less started burning coal or oil. Can civilization survive more warming? Probably. Can civilization survive cooling? Maybe. The question is, which one will open up more arable land for crops and which one will extend the growing seasons.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.
