Question....is Homeschooling as popular in the North as it is down here in the south?

My gut tells me no.....our observations about homeschooling in Georgia....not meant to inflame but it likely will

Mostly Bible Thumpers that do it
Mostly for kids who are not socially adept; ie, mostly socially awkward kids
Most are the same parents who wouldnt let their kids ride the bus because of all the bad language on the bus
More often than not we see parents suspiciously homeschooling till senior year of HS then slipping little Johnny into the HS so they actually get a HS diploma
We have excellent schools where we live (8/8/9); we saw no reason not to send our kids to the local schools

Can you tell we have a very strong opinion about homeschooling?
