[Yes, I wrote this]
The history of America is written each new day, as a new page in the unfolding and evolving American story about who we are as a nation, about what it means to be an American.
This election is about you. As you cast your vote, you become an author in the American story. Your vote is a choice about what American story you wish to be written -- today, tomorrow, and for the generations of Americans to come.

When you cast your ballot, ask yourself if you seek an America where we ask who shall we hate today, who shall we blame today ... an America where we sling stones and disparage each other on twitter and social media ... an America of labels, petty tribalism, -- a toxic cesspool of fear and division ...
Or, do you seek an America where we respect each other, where we value and honor human dignity, where we empathize with others’ personal journeys that are often filled with struggle, loss, and despair, where we welcome and invite a difference of opinions, where we march forward together, as one house, one nation. That is our American story!
When you cast your ballot, ask yourself if you seek an America that teaches our children that lying should be encouraged, that dishonesty should be rewarded, that basic untruths should be weaponized, and where the rule of law takes a back seat to power and privilege ...
Or, do you seek an America where we embrace and demand the truth, where we honor our oaths of office, where no one is above the law, and where we defend the US Constitution as if our lives depend on it. That is our American story!
When you cast your ballot, ask yourself if you seek an America that rejects science, a willfully blind America that treats a global pandemic or rapidly increasing existential climate threats as media driven hoaxes ...
Or, do you seek an America where we anticipate and prepare for such threats, where we mobilize our nation’s best and brightest minds, where we harness our ingenuity and massive resources with dispatch and determination, an America who outsmarts and conquers such threats. That is our American story!
When you cast your ballot, ask yourself if you seek an America that caters to the top 1% and CEO’s of billion dollar companies, while treating its workers as expendable widgets, and expecting the middle class to pay higher taxes than the wealthy ...
Or, do you seek an America that recognizes the working men and women as the heart and soul of our nation, deserving of a fair wage, a safe working environment, and most importantly, knowing they have adequate and effective healthcare for themselves and their loved ones when they go to sleep each night. That is our American story!
When you cast your ballot, ask yourself if you seek an America where our sovereignty and our democracy is for sale, where we allow dictators, autocrats and bad actors to manipulate us because we are either dupes or pushovers, ... an America where we regard our own US military personnel as suckers and losers ...
Or, do you seek an America that stands tall against any outside interference in democracy here and abroad, an America that is unyielding against any threat to our sovereignty, an America that supports and respects our allies, an America that appreciates and trusts its intelligence agencies and diplomatic corps, and an America that will move mountains in order to protect our men and women in uniform, ..... That is our American story!
When you cast your ballot, ask yourself if you seek an America that is stagnant, that wanders aimlessly about without any planning or problem solving, .... an America consumed by daily scandals and distraction and incompetence and catastrophe, ... an America that discredits our own elections, an America stuck in the muck of political gang warfare, an America that degrades civil discourse and debate ...
Or, do you seek an America that leads from the front, rising each day to the call of duty, ... an America that is razor focused in meeting the challenges we face, ... an America that thinks bigger and bolder, ensuring that our economy runs like a locomotive on countless miles of new track creating thousands of new jobs and opportunities, ... an America who understands that if we are to remain the greatest nation in the world, that greatness has to be earned everyday, by each and every American who compose the fabric of our nation. That is our American story!
