Hacking would become a huge problem, especially with AI's being trained to subvert/control the vote.

I think this is one area in which we need to go backwards in tech, not forward. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to using electoral ink, which stains the finger to make it impossible for someone to vote twice (in person, of course).
