I mean, of course we can. But we can also take a more perfect system when operated faithfully and correctly, and corrupt it beyond recognition by operating it to sway the election.

Can an election be corrupted with paper ballots? Of course. Can it be done as easily at great magnitude without being discovered with as with non-paper ballots? I'm not so sure. I wonder if block chain might be able to do something better.
