we're experiencing is taking place...
If the CO2 concentration rises on the same trajectory, it will stay in the atmosphere for hundreds of years...and definitely cause sea levels to rise which will cause trillions of dollars in damage and untold disruption of economies all over the world...(Note that ~60% of the world's population lives on or near ocean coasts)...not to mention turning today's fertile agricultural lands fallow...again, a huge disruption. These effects are already starting and will continue to get worse...it's not a "One-Time Event".
