This is not how an imperial power would approach this.
1. We removed the authoritarian dictator that was oppressing his people.
2. We are investing in the country to the mutual benefit of both country's people.
3. We are eliminating the state sponsored corruption and narco-terrorism.
4. We are helping them move towards the return of democratic elections and a seat at the table on the world stage.
This is all good for Venezuela, the Venezuelan people and The United States of America. It is bad for Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, and apparently college professors.
