The fate of blue cities.

This same crap happens up here in small cities. Chemically addicted bums take over public spaces, leave massive amounts of garbage, and threaten decent people. Instead of shoving them out of town, the cops are trained to accommodate them. In the small city nearest me, the taxpayers buy them clothes, tents, food, and so forth. The bums then toss them on the ground and abandon them when they decide they have no more use for them. From the summer of 2022 through the summer of 2025, I had to call the police each summer on bums setting up camp in the county park where I maintain the mountain bike trails. The methheads and tweakers drop their trash in the woods, shit everywhere, and build their nests in places they think they won't be seen, but they're too stupid to realize all the trampled ground serves as a big arrow. The last two I had to run out of there in 2025 would've scared the living hell out of any of the women who walk the trails at the park. I saw their tent minutes before, and then two really rough looking methheads popped out of the trees to wave at me. Rock on!

None this summer. See, these bums all have phones. Amazing, isn't it? They also have Reddit forums and other sites where they communicate safe places to crash. It seems word got around about this particular park no longer being hassle-free for them, so they found other places to destroy, like back in my super-blue hometown, where my relative tells me that the bums downtown regularly harass women and daughters during the day. In days of old, a group of men would go down there and set everything right and move them on their way. Not so anymore.
