It locks it up for the US specifically without needing outside approval from NATO - that is quite a difference given the recent direction of several of those countries.
You are either fairly ignorant on this topic, or you suffer so greatly from TDS that it has blinded you. Either way, it's a bad look.
This is a great, great deal for generations of Americans and Greenlanders.
