Unfortunately, we have a financial system on Wall Street which rewards transferring quantity manufacturing and even quality technology to China to lower short term costs and increase short term profits...a system which is based on success every quarter instead of year after year. This makes us a consumer economy, which is fine in peacetime, but it is certain loss in wartime.

I've seen executives make these short term decisions knowing that they will be let go if they don't. And, even if they do it, they think their one decision, each time, won't be the straw that broke the camel's back, so no one will notice their straw...and in the meantime their stock rises and bonuses continue.

Those who oppose what Trump is trying to do -- convert us from a consumer economy back to a manufacturing economy -- are very shortsighted.
