My take

No president has made himself as available, open, and visible across so many different formats as Trump. His big mouth consistently brings the American audience along to his occasions and events, such as televised cabinet meetings, Air Force one trip… and of course his truth social text, offering unscripted talks, spontaneous remarks and making himself remarkably accessible. You can say this is because he is a showman, he is reckless. But this openness made MSM irrelevant, i.e., there are fewer chances for them to invent things. They resort to increasingly outrageous and implausible fabrications. (I can give examples). That’s why they are banned, banned for access to White House, not their free speech.
