Jenkinsian pandering. Shameful.

Respect to former U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican, Mary Ann Glendon, for turning down the Laetare in 2009 due to Obama's attendance at the Commencement.

At the time she said the decision to present Obama with an honorary degree violated the U.S. bishops’ 2004 request that Catholic institutions not honor “those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles.”

(The University did not invite Clinton in 1993.)
