That was the quote: Putin is a strong leader. That doesn't equate to "admiring" him.
If those two things are the same, then every time a political science teacher teaches about Stalin, he could be argued to be "admiring" Stalin. That seems silly, but it is the argument you and Chris are making...but Chris is backing off now by not continuing the discussion.
