Because nobody asked...
Canada won the geopolitical lottery and still found a way to complain. It occupies a continent-sized fortress on its longest border with the world’s richest and most powerful ally, while sitting atop a remarkable abundance of natural resources. Yet it made abundance feel scarce, with a GDP per capita would place it at #51 (or thereabout) if it were a US state. This is outrageous and does not happen without political failure.
Canada’s pivot toward Beijing and Brussels is a juvenile temper tantrum that pretends that geography is an inconvenience. Canada's decline was sealed when it chose soy boy Justin Trudeau in 2015. It is a fantastic country that is in desperate need of adult leadership.
