As for whether this year's super-charged El Nino is being a problem...Ask the families on the Big Island about the multiple hurricanes hitting them this year, dropping over 20 inches of rain over a very short period...people killed, and at least $1B in damages. That's what happens when global warming from the burning of fossil fuels raises sea temperatures.
