“A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him. But Jesus turned to them and said,”Daughters of Jerusalem do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and your children.
Look, the days are coming when people will say,”Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed”.
Of course, he also said, Thou shalt not kill when quoting the 10 commandments.
Jeremiah 1:5 from the Old Testament also specifically and poignantly addresses abortion:
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I sanctified you....”
Multiple other references from New Testament - One here:
Psalm 139:15-16:
“My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body;all of my days were written in Your book and ordained for me. Before one of them came to me”
There are multiple others in Old and New Testament. You can’t weasel out of the fact that abortion is immoral, evil, and the taking of innocent life. No excuses or rationalizations change this.
And of course we have Church doctrine as well as in times since Roe v Wade we have Pope Paul, Pope JP 1, Pope Saint JP II, Pope Benedict, and Pope Francis all saying that abortion is a grave mortal sin and Francis most recently calling it murder.
