There are no real cool rockers out there that haven't been out there for decades. That's why the Stones are still
a choice (God help us).
The cool dudes and dudettes arrived int he 50's 60's and 70's. After than it's been a thinning out of talent.
As for Kravitz. I saw him in the early 80's trying to break into the Rock scene and he was unimpressive then. He dressed like
he was Jim Morrison, hammered his guitar like Randy Bachman and sang like he couldn't carry a tune. He was about as
original as a hangover. So, I never saw him as cool. He's gleaned a lot of respect over the years though I'm not sure why.
Most of the stuff today is auto tuned schlock, derivative and not very original but there are a few bands out there that deserve
consideration.
You may have posted to be rhetorical but maybe not. Your tastes will not align with mine but maybe you'll hear something that
stretches you tastes.
There's a reason why Buddy Holly, the Beatles, Stones, Doors, Zeppelin, Hendrix, N. Young, Cash and more are still on most
radio play lists - Outside of what is crap hip-hop/rap - there's not too much that's exciting - or cool.
My most favorite artist in the music world is Dimash from Kazakhstan (maybe the greatest male vocalist ever on this earth)
If you liked Nirvana - the continuation of that band is The Foo Fighters. Not bad at all.
I've been listening to tons of Ethiopian jazz. Some good stuff there.
I like this band/woman; Soap Kills:
Link: Lots of foreign stuff.
