How much will strip mining have to increase when the entire world is using EVs? Is that better than pumping oil from the ground?
By the way, I don't think your article says we will have enough lithium for the entire world to be on EVs, but I did only skim it, so if you can point me to where it says that (and just not to where it says we will have enough in 2030), that would be great.
What about lithium extraction pollution?
These are actually honest questions. I am wondering if we are just moving from one type of pollution to another. And, I have to say, I don't trust the climate folks on their data. They have shown themselves to be unreliable.
