Beggars cannot be choosers in recruiting when they miss their top targets and have few backups.

This has been Brey's pattern forever: a strong class followed by a couple weak ones. He likes to say that they target a few guys who are good fits. It appears that many times, the guys in their small pools of recruits aren't good fits. If they were, more would choose ND. If Brey is going to target top 50 players, he needs to have a number of guys as backups. Wake has 30 plus offers on the table. Va Tech and GA Tech has 20 or more. Brey had 8 or 9.
