It reflects what I said before, namely this program's need for toughness and an edge.
Someone asked why the hell Imes receives minutes. You saw it on TCU's last possession. He stood up a TCU big with a number of inches on him. Also, like last game, he hit a crucial three in the final six minutes. He's limited, but he hustles, can play decent defense, and sticks in his nose when there are loose balls.
Other stuff:
- Haralson's game-tying shot in regulation and play from the second half on should be crucial in stepping in for Burton when he is out.
- Again, Mohammed has had every opportunity to become the second ballhandler spelling Burton, but he is a poor shooter and turns it over too often. Now it looks like Haralson will be moved to the ball.
- In addition to the shooting, there were a number of sequences when Certa played really good man defense.
- Koehler is substantially more athletic than the three other ND bigs. I hope he continues to receive more minutes.
- Opponents are tempting Haralson to go to his left by overplaying him him to his right. I hope he becomes more comfortable finishing with his left, because it's there.
