Maybe an NBA coach would add him as an assistant? There are guys who are great assistants, but who are not good head coaches. Shrews may very well be one of those guys.

If this ends as most of us think it will, I hope ND hires a seasoned coach. I don't care if he is a recruiting ace. Perfection is a bunch of little things done well. This team does all the little things poorly. A veteran coach with a career of competent leadership, who pays attention to all the little things is what the program desperately needs.
