I think the only way he will be gone is if he were to take a job elsewhere.
Maybe an NBA coach would add him as an assistant? There are guys who are great assistants, but who are not good head coaches. Shrews may very well be one of those guys.

This team does all the little things poorly. A veteran coach with a career of competent leadership, who pays attention to all the little things is what the program desperately needs.
