He's fairly slow, will struggle to guard his position in the ACC, and is a below the rim player. He has nice shooting percentages, but so did Allocco in the Ivy League.
To put it in perspective, TJ Power, not Roberts, was the best player on the Penn team. TJ Power couldn't even get off the bench at either Duke or Virginia. He's three inches taller than Roberts, quicker, better rebounder, and was the guy that Penn went to when they needed someone to create and take a shot, not Roberts. Maybe I have this all wrong, but I don't think so. I just don't understand not finding more athletes. There are probably 50 players in the portal right now not being sought by the big boys who would raise the level of athleticism on the team. I watch tape of a few of the guys Shrews is looking at for the PG position in the portal and they're below the rim players who lack top baseline to baseline speed. Right now I will take a portal PG who shoots 30% from three but is fast who looks to pass first and can hound opponents on the defensive end. I'm tired of slow-footed perimeter guys who usually lose out on 50/50 balls and consistently get beat to spots.
