So would you rather have Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross versus WIll Fuller, ESB, Boykin, or Chase Claypool??
Comparing Tony Jones to Travis Etienne asinine as is Lawrence to Book. That kinda mess is stupid. You know better than that or you should.
Comparing a big time recruit in Jurko to Lawerence is more appropriate. What happened there? Penn POY, 4* (5* at one point) 6-5 stud QB with legs leaves your program because he just couldn't
what..change his throwing motion or grasp your offense or whatever excuse BK comes up with. You think any of the big time QBs who transferred to other places are as successful if they came to ND??
And when you bring up Dexter...Why not compare Etienne to Dexter Williams? DW was a higher rated RB than Etinenne and showed immense potential each time he was on the field but for some reason just couldn't stay on the field. Partly his own fault but a lot to do with BK. Keeping kids engaged helps to ensure they're not being kids unless your Baker Mayfield or Johnny Manziel where it just doesnt matter...but for the most part it's on the adults. Yes, DW wasn't available in Athens but what about the year before. Not one touch..huh? You don't think his explosion makes a diff when Josh Adams kept getting in the hole but couldn't get out of it. That extra burst probably equals 2-4 first downs and in a game that tight...could've been the game. Where was he? Where's Avery Davis 75% of the year last year? Mckinley has like one breakout game and then...gone. That on him? Remember Corey Holmes? Alleged 4.3 WR with hops from Florida. Never seemed to get on the field. Last spring all the talk was about Joe Wilkins. Seen him? Took forever to get Lenzy going...Hardly doubt the same would've been the case at Oregon had he gone there. You figure out a way to get athletes involved. I'm not saying something that isn't echoed elsewhere.
Look at the QBs that have been here. 4* Wimbush, Kizer, Jurko -- worse as time went on then out. Kizer was phenomenal then bad...they stupendous then ok...then ugh..then great, great. Never got consistent then the following year much of the same. Felt like the kid was out there doing his own thing because he either didnt trust his coaching or the system didn't suit him. But lets not forget...BK has Zaire ahead of him anyways. All you really need to konw there.
What does it matter getting guys when they won't be used right or much or won't get better. Let say ND lands Shipley. NOW you have the #1 APB in back to back years. Both with elite speed and hands. What's going to be the excuse then? Both these kids could be at ACC or SEC schools but they'll be at ND. Already have 5* WR on their way in Jordon Johnson and another 5* TE in Mayer and another 4* QB in Pyne who holds offers from both LSU and Bama) And it could be with Buchner, Lorenzo Styles (and OSU alums kid) another 5* another 5* WR.
Please there's talent galore. Dont want to hear a thing about needing more kids BK won't know how to use. BK is just stuck in this archaic way of coaching. He's not bad...but he's not great.
