We suck & are irrelevant & are lucky to have Brian Kelly.
Someone who's been a CFB coach for close to 30 years (10 of those years at ND)
A coach who in those 30 years has:
No National Championships
No Heisman trophy winners
No FBS playoff wins
Recruiting classes that consistently rank in the #12-18 range. Says he wants to change that, but he signs EVERY 3* "diamond in the rough" recruit he can.
Has beaten exactly ONE team that finished in the top 5 in the final polls (MSU 2013) in TEN years at ND
Hires his buddies who are EXTRAORDINARILY under-qualified (BVG, Quinn, Rees) His AD has to force his hand into firing BVG after a humiliating 38-35 loss to Duke, 2016.
All of his QBs at ND have gotten progressively worse the longer they play for him (Golson, Wimbush, Book)
He bitched about the field, they gave him his desired field turf
He complained about crowd noise/support, they gave him his giant TV
He complained about inadequate training facilities (despite already having the Gug), they built him a million dollar, state of the art facility
* I won't even get into TJ Jones, David Grimes, vacated wins or Declan Sullivan.
How lucky us ND faithful are to have an elite coach like Brian Kelly for another awe inspiring 5 seasons!
