He had a great JR season in 2019, no question, but as you point out it was against "low level" competition. People also forget that he missed his entire 2018 season (except for three or four plays) in HS because of an injury. So he played only one season since his freshman year of HS. He just hasn't had as much real game experience as most incoming freshman have had. I really like Buchner's talent, but it is not realistic, in my opinion, to think he can come in and start at a high level program as a true freshman.
