out of everything. Both leagues have plenty of teams to fill a schedule and they really don't like ND's independent status. They aren't going to reward ND's watered down schedule with playoff money any longer than necessary. Beyond that, NIL and possible pay for play in the not to distant future is going to require huge budgets. As much as I like ND's independent positioning, times have changed, will continue to change and ND could be left out. If Clemson, Miami or FSU bolt for the SEC - likely - ND is screwed big time.
