Take the best academic schools from across the country and build a legit conference:

Duke
Wake Forest
UNC
Vandy
Georgia Tech
ND
Northwestern
Stanford
Cal
I'm sure I'm missing 2-3 more, but this is a conference that could return the 'college' to college football.
