suffered a severe hamstring injury from one of those stupid contests that they held against the rest of the backs in the NFL. He is a great guy serving in some capacity for ND football. I believe after his rookie year that Bettis was voted rookie of the year, Mirer was second and Reggie was third. The way he split the defenders in that 1992 USC game was something to behold.
