"From what I hear from sources close to Henderson (Tenn.) Pope John Paul II class of 2023 signal-caller Kenny Minchey and those on the Notre Dame side of things, I’m told the All-American Bowl-bound quarterback had a fantastic time on his official visit over the weekend. Folks are raving about how well Minchey is as a Notre Dame fit; he connected well with the coaching staff and other recruits. And as far as Notre Dame’s chances to land the four-star quarterback, it would take a disaster at this point for this to trend away from the Irish. It shouldn’t be long until we learn of Minchey’s final decision.
He measured in at 6-2.5, 215-pounds, which Notre Dame is very pleased with from what I’m told. He has a strong, sturdy build. And going back to Minchey as a kid, he’s not one for media attention and hype, but he’s an outstanding leader and will exceed (I'm sure Singer meant - Excel) as a student-athlete at Notre Dame if he picks the Irish."
