It's true about the tuition assistance and guarantee.

Both of my daughters in college received full rides to UD (my freshman chose Miami though). They lock in your tuition your freshman year and you never pay a dime more.

It's still called the ghetto but, obviously much more controlled and nicer than it was back in the day. They've bought up nearly every single home. Hundreds. It's a sizeable neighborhood.

On Basketball, there are 13k+ at every game. Even in the lean years. I remember road tripping with friends from ND back to Dayton for a few games because I always told them how great the atmosphere was. They were all very impressed and though the game experience was far superior to games in the Joyce.
