After two games, the biggest problem is Leonard in my opinion. Denbrock is a proven

coordinator. ND needs to put out a better QB, and to be honest based on the eye test, I don’t think he’s better than Angeli. At least Angeli is decisive and accurate. Last week, while very happy ND won and it was a good win against a solid opponent in a very tough place to win, I had my concerns. The Texas A&M QB helped give ND that win with two horrible INT’s. Otherwise, I’m not so sure ND wins. I saw somewhere that last week, ND was 2 of 12 on third downs on offense. I chalked it up to maybe first game, maybe new line, maybe A&M defense just good, but I also saw Leonard miss throws and not see open receivers similar to the game today. I just don’t see him as an upper echelon type of QB. There is no excuse for today’s putrid offensive performance against NIU and Leonard’s horrible under thrown ball sealed the loss. Everyone here has mentioned this as well but the WR’s need to be better too. ND needs more dynamic and explosive players at the position. In the end, there is no excuse for losing today. This should not be happening. I apologize to the board for being emotional about this, but just keeping it real, I’m sick of this shit. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a physical and dominating team. I seriously wonder if any of us will see ND win a NC again.

    • The DL (which was supposed to be a strength of the team) has looked terrible 2 weeks in a row - IrishChristopher - 9:55pm 9/7/24
    • No way Freeman had our scout team run the NIU offense - Hensou - 9:12pm 9/7/24
      • Just another bad loss. Becoming a trend. So f’n frustrating. [NT] - jray - 9:15pm 9/7/24
      • We didn’t prepare for NIU. We just showed up and assumed we would win [NT] - ndphysics - 9:14pm 9/7/24
    • The problem is freeman. Period end of sentence [NT] - ndphysics - 9:06pm 9/7/24
    • Denbrock is not proven. Look at his track record prior to meeting Jayden Daniels and then tell me - oldirish - 9:06pm 9/7/24
      • But the problem more than anything is the QB play is my point. [NT] - jray - 9:07pm 9/7/24
        • Yep, if Denbrock needs a QB to make him look good; that is a problem. A major one. [NT] - oldirish - 9:09pm 9/7/24
          • I see it differently - Mark - 9:57pm 9/7/24
            • It's not hypothetical. RL is a 55% passer with 23% deep ball last year. Time for the bench. MD needs - oldirish - 10:04pm 9/7/24
              • I agree that my tongue in cheek hypothetical - Mark - 10:54pm 9/7/24
