Holtz's first meeting with the team, when he told All-American Chuck Lanza to get his feet off the table or he would never play for ND again. Homers here went ga-ga over the scene of him running in to the locker room after he was hired and getting hugs like a schoolgirl. I hated that. I wished we had a reaction like George O'Leary had when a reporter asked him if he was worried about adjusting to Notre Dame athletes, after he was hired. His response was, "They better be scared about adjusting to me." Didn't work out for him, but that's the basic mindset needed. You can see the programs where athletes have it too easy and they know it, and the ones where the players are forced to play with an edge or sit, and play hungry. ND isn't one of the latter.
