That loss will be relevant until the end of time. ND fans will discuss it at least until then.

It was a horrible, depressing loss. If we win the rest of our games it will be irrelevant.

Too soon to draw that conclusion. Already talk about quality of wins AND losses.

Always best to lose early in the season...

I think just the opposite. If we win that game we are top 5 & hosting a playoff game.

They still need to go 11-1 which requires a 10 game winning streak

Freeman hasn't come close to that kind of win streak.

Won 4 straight after beating bye this week.

At present, ND has both the best win and the worst loss.....

Doesn’t Bama currently hold that title?

Said Georgia by mistake…ya, Alabama could argue definitely,

Worst loss...sure, but about 7 teams could easily argue they have a better win.

The problem that I see is that ND has little chance to move up much given its remaining schedule.

Several teams ahead of us have to play each other

Teams don’t have to drop much if the lose to teams ranked at or higher than them. We won’t have

Teams that lose will not pass us if we keep winning.

Gee ya think? What does that even mean?

Too early to tell. I was just saying that teams ranked ahead of us will mostly fall behind us. Not

Simple attrition for the teams ranked around ND will lift the Irish if they keep winning

They will as long as they keep winning. Look how they moved up on a bye week. Lots of chaos yet to

The NIU loss will hang over Freeman forever, unless he wins a Natty at ND.

Marshall was a worse loss. NIU played quite well anyways.

Could not disagree more. Marshall was a better team and Freeman was in first year as first time HC..

We went from Top 5 to currently outside the Top 10. The voters haven’t forgotten.

Agree. ND is probably right on the edge regarding making the playoff at this point.
