$26 million is a lot

The last time the boosters had to cough up $13.5 million to secure the NIL deal for 2023 QB Jaden Rashada, they reneged, leaving Napier holding the bag. I'm not saying that they won't do it, though, and if they're desperate enough, it will certainly happen.

You're especially right, that they're going to have a hard time bringing in an established winning HC coach from a big time program. None of the bigger names look like they want to leave their current places (Franklin, Kiffin, etc). Even if they were looking around, I'm pretty sure their current institutions would willingly open up the purses for them.

Even the second tier guys aren't likely to leave to come to a dumpster fire (Cignetti, Campbell, etc).

Some delusional Gators' fans are insisting that Urban Meyer is coming back to restore the glory. Even if by some unholy miracle he did come back, there's no way the university's Board of Trustees would ever give him total control over the program like the last time.
