IU has every right to be excited about this game. The loss to NIU ends the debate.

It's ND who has to prove they belong after so many disappointing moments in big games, especially the BCS and playoffs. . IU can flex and talk all they want. They may be a one and done program or this season may be a program builder for things to come. Who knows. MF needs to focus on our guys and how they all perform and not on what IU is saying and doing. The SC game was an awakening moment and a good warm up to the playoffs. There is absoulutely positively no excuse to lose thiis game Friday night.

    • IU's former AD said that? What about the assistant volleyball coach or the RAs of IU's dorms? - IrishChristopher - 10:19pm 12/16/24
    • Actually, losing to IU would be far easier to take than losing to NIU was [NT] - humbaba - 6:12pm 12/15/24

        • no it wouldn't, he signed a 4 yr extension [NT] - cubsfanin16 - 8:11pm 12/15/24

          • Contract length doesn’t have all that much to do with it. Ask Norvell and Kelly…among others…. [NT] - TakethetrainKnute - 8:45pm 12/15/24
        • In which case, ND would be looking at the possibility of buying out both Freeman and Cignetti. - NedoftheHill - 8:03pm 12/15/24
        • That is true. But I think we cover the spread in this one. - murph78 - 7:15pm 12/15/24

            • IU had a player receive Heisman votes; Irish didn't. We should not be taking IU for granted like NIU [NT] - NedoftheHill - 8:04pm 12/15/24
              • Not doing that - just saying, we are an objectively superior team, and should win. - murph78 - 9:52pm 12/15/24
