He's never been a coordinator or even a position coach at a major program, so there isn't much history to draw on there. It may say something that Belichick kept him as his D.C. for 5 seasons, but again, drawing conclusions about the D.C.'s performance on a Belichick-coached team is tough to do.
His other experiences in the N.F.L. appear to have had poor results by any objective measure: Statistics, player relationships, locker room culture.
Having said all of this, we do know that he'll be working with an exceptional talent base relative to nearly every other team they'll play.
