He wants to start, but there's no way that Missouri was bringing in QB Beau Pribula to be a backup, not when they're allegedly shelling out $1.5 million for his services.
That, plus Sam Horn has much better physical tools and the true frosh may very well be the best on the roster.
At best, Pyne would have been 3rd string at Missouri. Even if were to somehow play, he wouldn't have had nearly the same kind of starting talent surrounding him like he did in 2022. We all saw what happened to him at ASU, and to a similar extent, at Missouri last year.
That being said, I want him to succeed, but not at the cost of getting clobbered. Unless he has delusions of grandeur, he ought to know that he has zero chances of making it in the pros.
He has poor field vision, a weak arm, and his footspeed isn't exactly inspiring. Furthermore, he'll need some top notch, superstar skill player to bail him out.
