I agree with everything you said about SC and have had to endure living it in SoCal. My first ND-SC game was 1953 (I was 7 years old) and Joe Heap ran a kickoff back 94 yards for a TD to lead Leahy's last team to a 42-14 victory. I was at the 1964 game when ND right tackle Bob Meeker was called for mysterious holding penalty inside their 5 yard line nullifying a ND score early in the 4th quarter TD which would have put ND up 24-0 and Ara would have an undefeated national championship in his first year. I was also present at the Coliseum for ND debacles in 1974 and 2014. But, their were many fond memories too: in 1965 the famous "revenge" game with Nick Eddy, Larry Conjar and Bill Wolski beating them into the ground in South Bend; Eric Peniick's 85 yard run; Joe Montana thumping them in 1977 for a Natty; Tony Rice's 65 yard scamper to a TD and a Natty in 1988; and, last year's two 100-yard TD interceptions leading Coach Freeman's to a national championship game. I think SC's is dropping the series because they are fearful thet ND is now entering an era of dominance under Caoch Freeman!
