I have no pity or defense for Refs. Sometimes I wonder if they're watching the same game we are
The calls on the field are too subjective. Holding and PI in this game is letting them play in another game. You'd figure that clock management would really be scrutinized after the Michigan game but a second here or a second there isn't worth the bother. What I do realize about growing trends is ND vs OSU 21-10, OSU 17-14, Miami 27-24, A&M 41-40, BYU 28-24. Coaching failures followed by coach speak and slogans. In 2005, PAC 10 officials had no problem clearing ND students off the field after a Matt Leinart fumble and adjusting the clock with 3 seconds left, enough time for the game winning "Bush Push". This whole thing is so arbitrary with these dudes that we all know WMU would have never earned that extra second. As far as ND, "Leave No Doubt" are just words that are best left unspoken. My question is this. IF ND can manage to get their act together and win out, will the BYU embarrassment be forgotten and forgiven by Irish nation?
