No reason to post the same concerns that beat writers, podcasters and other posters have noted. M
y bigger concern is with Freeman. ND has now come out in 3 of the last 4 "big" games and looked unprepared, confused and limiting the athletic ability of the team. I can make a case that the defense was unprepared for USC last year, too. It really reeks of Kelly whereby everything was about perfect execution and, "fingers crossed" better personnel across the board.
We saw once again ND with a stale offense and talent either not seeing the field or not being used in any way as to keep BYU off balance. We saw a defense reliant on soft zone coverage that had ND personnel confused and BYU able to dictate how the game would be played.
I'm also worried about the leadership on the team. That ND has so many multi-year starters and none are sitting down with Freeman telling them something is off is worrisome. Last year there were rumors that the players were not happy with the Miami game plan, and then it continued against A&M and now against BYU. Why come back if you're not going to demand from the coaches the same thing they demand from you?
I don't see anything changing by Miami, because I don't think MF has it in him.
