It's better to correct glaring problems after a close win than an unnecessary loss.
How many points did our offense leave on the field again? Where were our LBs the whole game again? The #2 team in the nation can't execute a "downing the ball" properly? What happened to all our star power? You can make an argument about a bad game played by one or two, but all of them? Does our staff really know who we have on that sideline and how can they be incorporated into the game or is it seniority first? we can spend a week talking about our coordinators. Is MF even engaged enough during the game so that he can make necessary adjustments as he sees fit? The silver lining in this loss is just maybe it will wake up the coaching staff (MF) to make appropriate changes. A loss to either Canes or SMU will leave no doubt that ND do not make the CFP.
