Putting logistics aside, if there’s not going to be a conference championship, and the playoffs

expand to 24 teams (which is crazy), I don’t see why any team needs to stay in the conference and I would think more schools will go independent, unless they risk losing money from their conference networks. But in the end, and to your point, money will dictate everything.
