He wasn't a good QB coach either

For the Rees fanboys out there, I would ask, what quarterback (especially the highly rated ones) did he truly develop who became a big success?

Let's look at all of that 4 star talent...

Wimbush? Nope. Regressed under Kelly and Rees as 2017 wore on, no improvement in 2018.

Jurkovec? Hard to tell. I can say that once he got away from Rees, that he showed he could be an effective QB at BC.

Pyne? Nope. Never learned how to look left or over the middle, much less throw over those areas. He got away with a lot of terrible decisions, simply because we had a very good running game, a strong offensive line, and the best TE in all of football who could beat double teams.

Buchner? Nope. Competent runner, and an effective changeup quarterback for red zone / short yardage situations, but his performance in 2022 was very shaky at best.

Book and Coan coached themselves, so Rees gets no credit here.
