I explicitly stated that Bowen was a very good defender and good at finding the ball, but his skill set is not coverage. Yet Ash, plays him in coverage a lot. He gets beat a lot in coverage, and zone is a weaker skill for him.

Sorry, I don't have time to recite every down but several of the big losses he was unable to cover. UNC's TE had a field day with us as well, which would have been mostly on Bowen and Schuler. The middle of our pass D has been very poor this year / under Ash. It's a glaring weak spot. This is not a knock on Bowen, but on Ash.
