While everyone rightly focuses on BC 1993, lest we forget BC 2002.

Riding high off a win at FSU and an 8-0 record, Ty Willingham's Irish went into the BC game the following week at the stadium and dutifully lost 14-7 and eventually finished the season 10-3. ND dominated the game that day but did commit five turnovers, including a killer 71 yard pick that went the other way thrown by Pat Dillingham. There's definitely history with BC but our current roster weren't even born when these games took place. Like I said, that was then and this is now.
