Murphy's Law reigned supremely that day
2002's BC team was pretty good. They came close to knocking off #4 Virginia Tech, and lost in OT to Pitt. In the end, they weren't any worse than we were, given that Ryan Grant was all but a bloody pulp at the end of the season, and Carlyle Holiday was having a terrible time with accuracy.
Tom O'Brien was a decent coach as well, usually getting 8 or 9 wins almost every year.
Willingham's idiocy showed, trying to run a stripped down West Coast Offense with a triple option quarterback. Even if we had eked out a win against BC, we still would have been blown out badly by USC.
Thankfully, BC doesn't have the NFL talent it had those years, and we don't have Lionel Tyrone Willingham running the show.
